CCHS News and Announcements
Hello CCHS Students and Families,
Graduation was held Saturday morning. What a wonderful graduation ceremony. It was an honor to be part of this event that so many of you have been anticipating and working hard to get to. Congratulations to all the 2023 graduates!
We are entering into our last two weeks of the 2022-23 school year. Let’s keep up attendance through the end. Here is what this week looks like.
Tuesday, June 6, 2023, All students for Workforce Boot Camp at school by 8:30. We will be traveling to Summit County and learning how to use public transportation. We will tour the Silverthorne Recreation Center and Summit Ford to learn about all the possible work opportunities they have to offer, and the skill set and schooling it takes to do these different jobs in these industries. Students should bring a sack lunch, or one will be provided from school. Please dress appropriately with layers and comfortable footwear as we do know how unpredictable our Colorado weather can be.
Wednesday, June 7, 20223, All students for Workforce Boot Camp at school by 8:30. We will be walking to our local sheriff’s department and taking a tour to learn about this industry and all the possible occupations, skills, and school required for this industry. After lunch we will head to Heavenly Horse to conduct some volunteer work with them.
Thursday, June 8, 2023, All students for Workforce Boot Camp at school by 8:30. This day will be our CMC day. Students and staff will walk to CMC Leadville campus where they have prepared a wonderful morning full of events and will provide lunch. Students will be dismissed upon the conclusion of this event.
Graduates are welcome to join in any of these events. All other students, school is still mandatory. If you opt out of an event, there are alternative lessons and activities planned for you at school. Please call the school with any questions.

The Lake County School Board is seeking individuals interested in serving on an advisory committee. The District Accountability Committee (DAC) is a state required committee created by each local school board with the purpose of providing recommendations and advisement to the school board on topics set by state statute as well as by the local board. The committee is required to meet at least quarterly as a committee and at least annually with the school board, although the committee can choose to meet more often. We are looking forward to kicking this group off for the 2023-24 school year using a format that includes opportunities for meeting around the state required topics as well as areas of local study toward actionable recommendations and conversations with the Board of Education. We are requesting that interested individuals complete the following application that will be reviewed by the Board of Education.

At the June 26th meeting, we are scheduled for the board to select leadership and membership of the DAC. After this meeting, the selected leadership team will have an initial planning meeting in August to create and roll out the 2023-24 schedule and plan for the DAC. Thank you again for your interest and willingness to serve on this important committee.
Thank you for your interest in serving.
