| Job Calendar: | Contract for 215 days/yr; paid 12 month salary FLSA type: Exempt; Start August 1, 2024 and contract runs through June 30, 2025; includes break programming during November 25-27, 2024 and March 10-13, 2025. Programming on Fridays is also part of this position. | |||

| Essential Job Tasks | Program & Administrative Develop and hold the vision for all out of school time (OOST) programming across the district. Provide senior leadership and advocacy for OOST programming in the district and the community. Lead and ensure strategic alignment of staffing, programming, resources, and funding for all OOST programs focusing on improving academic outcomes, integration and alignment with in-school initiatives and district goals, and sustainability of these offerings. Develop high quality academic intervention/tutoring systems and enrichment programs for OOST programs that will improve academic outcomes for students and provide a wide range of experiences. Collaborate with school site supervisors, school and district staff, instructional leaders, and local partner agencies in the creation and oversight of these programs. Supervise and guide school Site Supervisors and bus driver with all program aspects of OOST, including: hiring, scheduling, training, supervising, and evaluation of frontline staff and volunteers, enrolling and scheduling students, safety of all students during programs, parent communication and involvement, and handling any behavior incidents. Coordinate with school-level MTSS processes to facilitate referrals to after school programs for students who would benefit from high quality enrichment programming to support their social/emotional growth and/or academic achievement. Coach and supervise four school Site Supervisors and a bus driver through setting professional goals and action steps, bi-yearly evaluations, and weekly check ins. Coordinate training and professional development where appropriate to align OOST intervention and enrichment programming and partnership strategies with academic/instructional culture; including topics such as positive youth development and risk management. Serve as the district administrator on duty for OOST programs from 3:00-6:00pm Monday-Thursday and 8:00am-4:00pm on Fridays. Coordinate with the Transportation Manager to provide additional student transportation. Coordinate with CACFP, Food Service Director and school nutrition staff to provide daily snacks and/or meals. Compile timesheets from Site Supervisors and submit to the Human Resources Director by the 13th of each month. Family and Community Engagement Solicit ongoing input from youth and families on OOST programs;, including interviews, focus groups, surveys, and other strategies. Engage community agencies in the school district’s OOST work, including Full Circle, LCBAG, Get Outdoors Leadville!, the Lake County Public Library, the Lake County Recreation Department, and others.Collaborate with school leaders and community partners on parent engagement initiatives and evaluation of those initiatives for OOST programs. Funding & Fiscal Seek and secure funding to sustain OOST programs including local fundraising, grant opportunities and partnership support to build sustainable, long-term solutions. Collaborate with district administration on fundraising and development strategies. Complete grant reporting requirements in a timely manner, submitting required data to CDE and other funders Oversee budgets of programs and departments supervised. | |||
| Qualifications | BA in education or related field; Master’s preferred Experience in K-12 education, intervention experience a plus Strong commitment to equity in education and promotion of academic achievement Experience working with students living in poverty and English language learners. Experience working in positive youth development and with families of diverse cultural backgrounds. Experience writing and managing grants and budgets preferred Familiarity with Expeditionary Learning core principles Administrative experience in a non-profit or educational setting preferred Experience supervising programs and employees preferred Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong organizational, leadership, and group management skills Experience working collaboratively with other agencies Flexible and creative Computer skills Bilingual preferred CPR/First Aid required upon employment LCSD is an equal opportunity employer.
