LCES Parent Update 11/19/2021
It has been a fantastic week at LCES. Our 1st grade students had the opportunity to Zoom with The Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. They were able to “walk” through the planetarium and see simulations of planets. Students are currently in a module about the sun, moon, and stars.
We also had a great Thanksgiving lunch with staff and students on Thursday. We want to say a special thank you to our kitchen staff for preparing this wonderful meal for us.
Please remember that we have no school Wednesday and Thursday, November 24th and 25th. We DO have school Monday the 22nd and Tuesday the 23rd.
Mark Your Calendars:
Please join us for our Community Meeting on December 2nd from 8:10-8:40 AM hosted by our Kindergarten students. They will share what they are learning about weather and different weather around the world. We will also be recognizing our students of the month for Responsibility.
Our Celebration of Learning is scheduled for December 9th from 6-7 PM (please drop students off in classrooms by 5:50). This is a great opportunity to see what your child has been working on in the classroom by engaging in the labs that they are doing.
Thank you for continuing to send a mask with your child daily to school. It would also be helpful if they had a back-up mask in their backpack. Also, be sure to call the office before 9 if your child is out for the day. This helps us keep better track of attendance.
Thank you all for a great week. Please reach out at any time if you have questions or concerns.
