LCES Weekly Update 9/30/22
LCES Families,
It has been a fun week of learning at LCES.We are excited to see how much students are learning. Be sure to ask your student what they are learning in class.
As the weather starts getting cooler, please be sure to send your student with gear for going outside. Please make sure to label all gear with your students name. We go outside daily for recess and other learning activities.
This week we had our community meeting led by second grade. Congratulations to our students of the month for Collaboration! Second graders are exploring the early Chinese civilization. They showed their work on Buddhism and Hinduism in ancient Asian cultures.
We enjoy having families at LCES for Community Meetings. We encourage you to give yourself time to stop by the front office and sign in. Our monthly community meetings start at 8:15 a.m.
October Count and Attendance:
As we move into October, it is extremely important that students are in attendance. Monday, October 3rd is our October Count Day, which is when we determine the number of students in attendance for our funding. Thank you so much for your support in having students here that day.
Again, thanks for a great week. Please reach out any time if you have any questions or concerns.
Thanks,
Katie Pongrekun
LCES Principal
