News From LCHS 10/18/24
Dear LCHS Families,
It has been wonderful to see you at LCHS over the past two days for conferences. We have had many robust conversations, and it is our hope that you felt supported in your child’s experience here. LCHS has put together a survey for families to complete. As we continue through the year, we want to partner in meaningful ways with families in order to continue our growth as a school here at LCHS. Please note that there is an optional space to provide your name and email. If you are willing, we want to be able to follow-up and have open, honest, and transparent conversations with you.
Here is the conference survey in both English and Spanish. The survey will remain open through Thursday, October 24th. If you have multiple students feel free to complete this survey separately for each student.
A huge shoutout, to the District Accountability Committee and our community members who provided food for our teachers during conferences. We very much appreciate it!
For 9-12 students, we are rolling out some refinements for Panther Support time. These will begin this coming Monday. Please see below for details:
- Panther Support will still occur on Monday and Wednesday from 8:50AM – 9:40AM.
- Our work session to address attendance and mark concerns will be addressed on an individual basis during the 8:00AM – 8:45AM time.
- Content teachers will work to sign students up who need support. Crew teachers and students should also advocate if they need time with a teacher.
- We also want to offer incentives for students who are academically on-track and may not always need the extra support.
- For 9/10 students, if they have all A’s and B’s they will be able to go to the gym or a quiet place.
- For 11/12 students, if they have all A’s, they will be able to sign-out of the building for Panther Support time or go to the gym/quiet place.
- If a teacher signs a student up for Panther Support, regardless of the above incentives, they still need to attend that Panther Support time.
Also, as we enter in the winter months, please remember doors to the building open at 7:30AM for students to enter.
Attendance Data (Week of 10/7)
