LCES Parent Update 10/1/2021
LCES Families,
We had such a fun Homecoming week at LCES! Thanks to all our families who participated in our dress up days, joined our community meeting and pep rally on Thursday, and walked in the parade with us Thursday afternoon. The high school band, cheerleaders, and senior sports participants joined us for our community meeting and lead the students in our Panther fight song and several cheers. Our kindergarten classes also enjoyed their community building day this week and had fun exploring the outdoors and participating in crew building activities. It was a busy and fun week overall!
Information and Reminders:
- As the weather starts getting cooler, please be sure to send your student with gear for going outside. Please make sure to label all gear with your students name. We go outside daily for recess and other learning activities.
- Join Project Dream on October 19th for our next Family Learning Institute – Family Math Night! We will have a presenter from each school talking about the math standards we cover, how we teach math, and how you can support your student at home. This event will be held in the cafeteria of LCES from 5:30-7:00pm. Dinner is included.
- Check out the attached Community calendar for fun events around town!
Thank you all for a great week. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
