LCES Weekly Update 11/11/2022
LCES Families,
It’s been a fun week at LCES. This week our 2nd grade class wrapped up their CKLA Knowledge unit on The Ancient Greek Civilization by hosting their very own 2nd grade Olympics. Here are some of the highlights:
Celebration of Learning Open House:
Our students have been working so hard throughout the school year and we would like to share that work and learning with you! Please join us for our Celebration of Learning Open House on November 17th from 6-7 for grades PK-2.
Kindergarten Field Work Trip:
Our Kindergarten team has started their next unit on Plants and in order to extend their learning, our kindergarten crews will be heading to C4 here in Leadville to learn more about plants and get to plant seeds. If you would like to volunteer to go with your child’s class, we are looking for 6 parents from each crew to attend. We will be loading the buses at 11:50 and returning to school by 1:15 on the following days:
Tuesday, November 29: Lenhard’s Crew
Wednesday, November 30: Bridge’s Crew
Thursday, December 1: Compean’s Crew.
If you are interested in volunteering, please call the front office to sign up.
Thanksgiving Lunch is Back!
We are so excited to host Thanksgiving Lunch this week. If you would like to eat with multiple students from different grade levels at once, please let the office know ahead of time so that we can make arrangements to pull students from classes to be with you.
