LCES Weekly Update 11/4/2022
LCES Families,
It has been a fun week of learning at LCES this week. I was so excited to be in classes this week and seeing the use of our new readers that are part of CKLA. Students were reading chorally together as a class and they were reading! Our students and teachers are doing great work and it is really showing in the building of these early literacy skills. We encourage you to read at home as well every night with your child. If you need resources for reading at home, please reach out to me and I would be happy to help.
Snow Gear/Lost and Found:
Thanks for sending your child with gear to go outside everyday. Please be sure to put your child’s name on their gear as well. We have a growing pile of lost and found items already. Feel free to stop by the school to go through these items if you are missing anything.
Attendance:
We love when our students are in school and know that having them here on a daily basis is the best way for them to stay on grade level for learning. This is why we are working so hard to build strong attendance habits with our students at this early age. We also understand that there are several illnesses spreading at this time. If your child is vomiting, has diarrhea, or a temperature of 100.4 or higher, we ask that this is when you do keep them home. If you are wondering whether or not to send your child, feel free to call the office to ask.
CarRider Pro:
Thank you all for helping us with our first week of implementing the new CarRider Pro pickup system. We are working to fix some of the issues we had this week and appreciate your patience as we learn this new system as well. If you have not gotten your pick-up tag yet or need a second tag, please reach out to Analy and Marissa in the front office and they will be happy to issue one to you.
Thanksgiving Lunch is Back!
