Lake County Schools Announces Finalists for Superintendent Interviews

Lake County, Colorado – The Lake County Schools Board of Education is pleased to
announce that they have selected 3 candidates to interview for their superintendent
vacancy. The candidates selected for interviews are:
Ms. Kate Bartlett – Leadville, Colorado
Mr. Troy Damman – Silver Lake, Kansas
Dr. Thomas Dodd -Windsor, Colorado—Withdrew his application (4.24.24)
Interviews are scheduled to be conducted on Friday, May 10, 2024. Stakeholder will
have the opportunity to meet the final candidates and submit input to the board about
each of them during the Town Hall from 6:30 -7:30 followed by a Meet and Greet from
7:30 – 8:00 on Friday evening at the high school. The board intends to make their
selection on Saturday, May 11, 2024.
Lake County Schools retained the services of McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C. to assist
in conducting their search. The consultants reviewed, screened, and conducted
extensive background checks on seventeen applicants. On Wednesday, April 22, 2024,
the consultants presented the applicants to the Board of Education and provided them
detailed background information on each applicant. The board selected 3 candidates as
finalists.
After the superintendent has been hired, Dr. Christy Sinner will facilitate a Board/
Superintendent workshop to assist in the establishment of performance objectives for
the new superintendent.
