Dear Families and Guardians,
Thank you to all of the families who came out to support the LCSD Art Show last night! It was wonderful to see our community enjoying the incredible student artwork, yummy treats, and fun crafts together. Our students were so proud to showcase their creativity and hard work, and we are grateful for your continued support of the arts in our schools.
On Wednesday, Ms. Rapke led a group of 29 K-2 students to the Rockies Game in Denver to celebrate their outstanding attendance accomplishments during the second semester. Congratulations to these students for their dedication to being at school and ready to learn each day! A huge thank you to families for prioritizing attendance and partnering with us to support student success.
Just a reminder that there will be no school on Monday in observance of Memorial Day. We hope you enjoy the long weekend with family and friends, and we look forward to seeing students back at school on Tuesday, May 26.
As always, thank you for being such an important part of our school community. We are excited to finish the school year strong together!
Go Panthers!

Dear Center Families,
Thank you to all our Head Start families that attended your spring home visits. Please reschedule these conversations if you were not able to make it.
Our Head Start onsite review went smoothly. I want to thank all of our staff for managing our already busy classrooms with extra visitors here to observe in our program.
The end of the year is quickly approaching! More information will be sent in your child’s yellow folder but for now mark your calendars for the following events.

- June 4 – Kindergarten Transition Night 6-7pm, come participate in some planned activities to support the transition to Kindergarten
- June 10 – Teddy Bear Picnic and Playground activities Rooms 130, 137, and 131, Families welcome to join us!
- June 11 – Teddy Bear Picnic and playground activities Rooms 133 and 135
- June 15 – Preschool End of Year Celebration at 11:30 am in the LCES gym

Another small reminder with our parking lots to have your child stay close as you transition to and from the car. This is good practice with the busier roads, parking lots, and foot traffic that spring brings.
Thanks for another great week! Enjoy your long weekend. There is no school on Monday May 25, we will see you on Tuesday!

Mental Health Matters This May
May is Mental Health Awareness Month—a great time to check in on your student’s emotional well-being. Stress, anxiety, and end-of-year transitions can impact how students feel and perform. The School-Based Health Centers through Elevated Community Health are here to support students with a safe, supportive space and access to care right on campus.
Looking ahead to summer, select School-Based Health Centers will remain open, so students can continue receiving care even when school is out.
For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 970-710-5049.
