Dear LCHS Families,
As a reminder tomorrow (8/6) are orientation conferences!
For 9th -12th grade students you will attend one of the hour time slots using THIS LINK. Everyone will start in the cafeteria at the top of the hour, for a welcome with me and then you will go through your schedule and meet each of your child’s teachers. Parents and students should both attend the orientation.
Time slots available are:
10:00-11:00, 11:00-12:00, 12:00-1:00, 2:00-3:00, 3:00-4:00, 4:00-5:00 and 5:00-6:00.
For 7th and 8th grade students you will sign-up with your child’s crew teacher for a time slot using THIS LINK.
Bring Your Own Device Policy Updates
This year, we have revised our Bring Your Own Device Policy (ex. Macbook). If students are needing to use their own device and not a school issued chromebook you can go to the IT desk (C121) during orientation conferences. There will be a form to fill out and a signature required to acknowledge the policy. You should bring your device with you to orientation conferences.
Additionally, during orientation you will be able to:
- Pick-up your Yondr phone pouches for 9th – 12th grade students.
- Get your chromebook for the 25-26 school year. If you did not turn in your chromebook at the end of last year, please bring it with you to orientation conferences.
- Pay your fees for the year. Please note that we will be available to take checks and cash to pay your fees. OR–it’s new—you can log into the Power School app to pay them online!(We can help you get set up)
- Have your child take their picture through Lifetime Photography in the Library. We are requesting that ALL students take their picture for safety reasons even if you do not plan to buy pictures.
- Visit informational booths for LCSD, School-Based Health Center, and Community Partners
Please reach out to the front office at 719.486.6950 with any questions.
Please note if you cannot make it to Orientation please have your student come to the front office on Monday August 11th when they arrive in the building so they may pick up their student packet.
Best,
