Cloud City High School Family Newsletter
Dear Cloud City Families,
Week eight of school has come and gone, and we are now moving into October! Thank you for continuing to partner with us to support our students’ learning and growth.
Attendance Matters
I cannot stress enough how important consistent attendance is for student success. In September, our overall attendance rate dropped to 72%, well below our schoolwide goal of 85% or higher.
We kindly ask families to:
* Schedule appointments outside of school hours whenever possible.
* Call the school to report absences and provide a reason.
* If you receive an automated call about your child’s absence, please speak with them and/or contact us directly for clarification.
We are happy to meet with families to create individualized plans to support students in attending their scheduled classes regularly.

If you have not created a parent account to access PowerSchool / PowerHub, you should have received an email on or around September 26. It includes your username and a temporary password so that you can log into PowerHub to access all of your child’s grades, attendance, fees, and other information. This is also the system that will allow you to receive and send direct messages to teachers.
