News From LCHS 9/12/25
Dear LCHS Families,
As I walk through the building, I notice how much more consistent our classrooms are becoming. That steadiness creates space for students to engage, ask questions, and take on challenges with confidence. It is a strong sign of the effort from both students and staff, and it gives me real encouragement about the direction we are heading together.
We are working to streamline our front office services so we can best assist families in a quick and efficient manner. When you call in these are the options to choose from:
- If you are actively picking up your child from school, press 1. Please note getting a student from class may take up to 5 minutes.
- For Attendance or Records, press 2.
- For Athletics, press 3.
- For the Principal’s Secretary or other office needs, press 4.
- For the School-Based Health Center, press 5.
There is so much to look forward to as the semester continues. With the progress students are making, I am eager to see the growth that lies ahead.
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend,
Scott Carroll

Sports Report: Many of our XC runners accomplished personal record times at their last invitational in Alamosa. Liam Sparkman, Levi Horning and Zoe Peters all earned medals for finishing in the top 20 of the large middle school race. Lake County’s golf team finished 9th out of 15 teams at their tournament in Gunnison on Tuesday. The high school boys’ soccer team held Sheridan to a 1-0 finish last Saturday. On Wednesday, volleyball girls won both the 7th and 8th grade games over ECCA.
There will be an entrance fee to the football game tonight. Lake County students and staff get in free with their ID cards, but other attendees will need to pay as they enter the parking lot: $5/adult, max of $15/car.
