Sports Report: We held a girls only middle school track & field meet at LCIS on Wednesday with 8 teams. Zoe Vanderweit was the fastest girl in the gym! And Evelyn Northcraft tied for first in the high jump! The boys’ team will have their turn next Wednesday beginning at 4:15 pm. High school track & field continues to perform well. We currently have 9 pole vaulters and 3 high jumpers in state qualifying position. The girls’ 4x800m relay ran the 2nd fastest time in the state last Saturday, and Luis Macias launched a 20’ personal best discus throw to put himself in state qualifying position along with several other distance runners. Only 3 more weeks of the high school girls’ soccer regular season and 4 of high school track!
Middle school spring sports will be taking pictures next week. Your coaches should communicate more details, but you can find the order form attached.
LET’S GO PANTHERS!!

Note from Colleen Nielsen, District Nurse
Colorado has had its first reported Measles case this week. Measles is more than just a rash. It is a serious respiratory illness that can cause lifelong problems like hearing loss, brain damage, and even death. Measles is preventable with a vaccine. Please reach out to your provider to check on your student’s vaccination status. If measles was to be found in our student population, your student will be excluded if not fully vaccinated. If you have questions, please email me at cnielsen@lakecountyschools.net
