News from LCHS
Reminder: Daylight Savings Time ends on Sunday, November 1st. Remember to turn your clocks back 1 hour before going to bed on Saturday.
Thank you to all of our LCHS families who attended our first ever all-virtual Parent-Student-Teacher conferences – it was great to see you! Teachers and administrators truly appreciate the efforts you have made to keep school and home communications open. If we have learned anything from our COVID-19 experiences, it has been to be able to adapt to the circumstances that present themselves as we move through this academic semester!
Mark your calendars for NWEA testing on 11/23 and 11/24. These are school days this year and students will take NWEA. This lets us know where they are on their path to college and it helps us to plan our supports for them. Please do not plan to miss these important days.
Some reminders from Lake County School District:
Meals are available free to all children 18 and under. Contact Julie Mehle (719)293-1040 for information. This is important to the district because if we are not serving the meals, we cannot get reimbursed. To keep the free meal program functioning, we need to have families benefitting from the program.
The Tuesday and Thursday bus routes are full (limited capacity), it would be great to keep the message circulating that busing is for hardship only, those students who do not have any other option for getting to school can take the bus.
Last night’s Town Hall COVID-19 Meeting video has been posted:
A call to action to help Lake County stay in Yellow phase by recommitting personal actions to protect each other while helping keep our community open. We can do this, Lake County!
Be sure to read the attached LCHS November breakfast menu and lunch menu!
