News From LCHS 12/10/21
Dear LCHS Parents & Caregivers,
It was wonderful seeing our students on stage this week for our winter concerts. The bands and choirs did amazing. Our students worked hard all semester long, and it was evident in their performances. A huge thank-you to Mrs. Cairns, Mr. Carroll, and Mrs. Baker for their hard work and dedication to our music program.
Tonight is our Winter Formal at The Elks! We’re kicking it off with a dinner from 6-7pm. Tickets for the dinner must have been purchased in advance. The dance itself is from 7-10pm. Masks are required for all participants. Thank-you to our Student Senate for all the work they put into sponsoring this fun evening for our student body.
Finally, this upcoming week is the last week of the semester. Final assessments will be given on Wednesday and Thursday. Finals are an important cumulative assessment of the skills and knowledge students have learned over the course of the 1st semester. And, to reiterate, they are worth 15% of a student’s overall grade in each class. Please make sure your child is present for finals and ready to do their absolute best.
From the entire staff at LCHS, we wish you the happiest of holidays. We hope the winter break is a time of laughter, love, and cheer for you and your loved ones. Stay safe, and we’ll see you again in January.
Best,
Ms. Dillon
LCHS Interim Principal

6th-8th Grade Games at LCIS:
We have decided to make some changes with attendance at our 6-8 games at LCIS. Given the age of our students we are going to require that all students attending the game are with an adult. If students arrive without an adult they will not be allowed to attend the games at LCIS. We are making this change to ensure more supervision and that everyone is being safe and respectful at all times.
Winter Formal
RSVP is required for our Winter Formal dinner, which will be held before the dance on the 10th of December. The dinner will be held from 6 to 7 PM while the dance will take place from 7 to 10 PM. You will have the option of steak, pork belly, or a shrimp alfredo sold as meals for $10. There will not be food tickets at the door.
Dance prices will be $3 for singles and $5 for couples sold at the door.
Family Learning Institute
We will be offering a family learning institute each month and all students and families are invited to attend! The sessions will be held at LCES.
