News From LCHS 2/25/22
Dear LCHS Parents & Caregivers,
We’re excited to see you this upcoming week for conferences. If you haven’t already, please sign up for a day and time using our online system. Here are the links:

Our Student Senate has partnered with LCES and LCIS in celebrating Read Across America week. During conferences, they’ll be facilitating a book swap. Additionally, next week, students can participate in Spirt Days by dressing up. Here are the themes for each day: Monday: PJs Day, Tuesday: Sock Day, Wednesday: Mismatch Day, Thursday: Character Day.
Finally, I wanted to pass along a reminder about our dress code. Specifically, students are not allowed to wear hats, hoods over their head, or any clothing that references drugs or other inappropriate content for school. In most cases, we have students remove the inappropriate attire, and we keep it till the end of the day. However, we do not have the same option when students choose to wear their hoodie over their head. Moving forward, we will assign lunch detention if/when students are wearing their hoods over their head. We want to maintain a safe and professional learning environment. We believe our dress code helps us toward that end. Please help us by having these conversations with your child and helping them dress appropriately for school. I am also more than happy to discuss any aspects of our dress code with you.
Thank-you for your continued support, and we will see you next week for conferences. Have a great weekend.
Best,
Erin Dillon

Driver’s Education Courses: Is your child ready to get their diver’s permit? You can enroll them in online Driver’s Education courses this spring. See the attached flyer for details on how to enroll.
6th-8th Grade Games at LCIS:
We have decided to make some changes with attendance at our 6-8 games at LCIS. Given the age of our students we are going to require that all students attending the game are with an adult. If students arrive without an adult they will not be allowed to attend the games at LCIS. We are making this change to ensure more supervision and that everyone is being safe and respectful at all times.
