News Form LCHS 11/7/25
Dear LCHS Families,
We hope that November is off to a good start for you! As we head toward the end of the first semester, this is a great time for you and your student to look over their grades together on PowerHub. We have five weeks left in the semester, and a quick check-in now can help make sure they feel steady and prepared.
Final exams will be held on Wednesday, December 17th and Thursday, December 18th. If you or your student notice anything that needs attention, please reach out to their teachers. They are the best first point of contact and can offer clarity, guidance, and support as students finish the semester.
Thank you for staying connected to your student’s progress as we move into these last few weeks.
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend,
Scott Carroll
Principal

Healthy School Meals for All Election Results
Propositions MM and LL were passed by voters in the recent election, which allows the Healthy School Meals for All program to raise and retain additional funding. This means there will be no changes to our breakfast and lunch program this year. All students will continue to have access to a free, nutritious breakfast and lunch each school day.
Even though meals are free for all students, we ask that families continue to provide household income information by completing the Federal Economic Data Survey (FEDS Form). This information helps schools receive full federal funding, which directly supports meal programs, after school programs and other nutrition initiatives. Please contact Leslee Torsell ltorsell@lakecountyschools.net or Mary Jelf mjelf@lakecountyschools.net for more information on how to complete the FEDS form.
The Crucible
Join us for Lake County High School’s fall play, The Crucible, on November 13th & 14th, at 7:00 p.m. and 15th at 2:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m. in the school auditorium. Arthur Miller’s classic drama tells the gripping story of the Salem witch trials, exploring how fear, hysteria, and accusation can tear a community apart. As suspicion spreads, neighbors turn against one another, and truth becomes the first casualty. Don’t miss this powerful performance by our talented students! Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students, available at the door.
