News From LCHS 12/12/25
Dear LCHS Families,
It is hard to believe that winter break is almost here. We have seen steady growth from students across the building. The school has felt calm and productive throughout the semester. Many students are meeting expectations and building strong habits. This foundation sets us up well for the second half of the year.
Finals will take place on Wednesday, December 17th and Thursday, December 18th. Students will follow our normal bell schedule for both of these days.
Please encourage your student to stay organized, complete any missing work, and get good rest. Attendance next week is important. Each day helps students review, ask questions, and finish the semester with confidence.
Thank you for your support. We are proud of the effort your students bring each day. We are looking forward to a strong finish before the break.

Sports Report
Knowledge Bowl picked up another 2A regional win yesterday! The 7-12th grade band and choir put on a wonderful holiday concert on Wednesday, demonstrating the hard work and skill of our students and staff! HS boys’ basketball picked up an overtime win against Del Norte last Saturday! Congratulations to you all!!
End of semester grades- Any high school student who fails 2 or more classes at the end of the semester will not be eligible to compete in any winter sport! Any high school student who fails 1 class at the end of the semester will have to sit out the first week of competition after school returns. Please encourage your students to finish well and prepare for finals.

The JH Student Senate will be hosting a JH movie night on Thursday, December 18th at 6pm in the LCHS library. We will be featuring “Elf” while selling snacks and drinks. Students are welcome to bring blankets and other comfy items!
