LCIS Friday Afternoon Shout Out 6-6-25
Hello LCIS Panthers!
We’re looking forward to seeing you at our annual Celebration of Learning on Wednesday at 6pm at LCIS. We will begin in the gym with a community meeting style welcome and a vocal performance from students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. Then we will tour the school visiting students in each grade level to hear about and celebrate their learning. Please join us in honoring the work of our students!
In addition to our Celebration of Learning, we will also hold our first Convivio from 5-6pm in the LCIS Gym. This potluck style gathering is an opportunity for you to share your family’s traditional meal/food with others while trying their traditional food all while meeting and interacting with others. Please join us for this event by signing up using the Convivio flier below.
It’s time to order your yearbook! Please fill out the order form that was sent home with your child and return it to the office with cash/check/or money order for $25 per yearbook. All orders must be returned to the office by June 16th. Only a few extras have been ordered and once they are gone, we cannot order more. Reserve your copy today!
LCSD Family Survey
We’d like to invite you to take our LCSD Family Survey. This survey won’t take more than 5 minutes and it gives us valuable feedback on how successful our schools are in supporting you, and how we can improve. You can take the survey multiple times, once for each of the schools your children attend. Take the survey now. Thank you so much for your feedback!
All LCSD students will be required to turn in their Chromebooks before the end of this year. Our IT department will be reimaging these machines and implementing a tracking system. If the device is in good shape, it will be returned to the student next school year. Please help your child bring their Chromebook and charger to school.
All library books were due last week, but we are still missing quite a few books! We would love to put the missing books back in our library, but if you are unable to locate the book please send your payment to school with your student on Monday! Please keep looking for those books!
IXL Homework concludes this week.
Amazing work, Panthers! Collectively you’ve answered over 1 million questions!
During the last week of school, the fifth graders will be watching Wonder. This movie is rated PG. Please contact the school if you do not want your child watching the movie.
The 4th grade students continued their studies of the 10th Mountain Division by traveling to Camp Hale and Vail Snowsports Museum this week. It was a great day with lots of hands on learning. Thank you to Ash Warner from C4 for creating such an awesome lesson plan for our students and helping to make our learning come alive!
The LCSD Band (grades 6-12) gave their first ever Music in the Park performance last week! The weather was beautiful and the music was excellent! Thank you Mr. Corley and Mrs. Cairns for sharing the talents that you have fostered in your students!
Our 6th grade students visited the Molly Brown House in Denver last week. It was a great way to continue their study of the Titanic. They had so much fun!
