LCIS Friday Afternoon Shout Out 8-1-25
Hello LCIS Panthers!
Welcome to the start of an exciting new school year! My name is Cheryl Talbot, and I am proud to serve as the principal of LCIS. I’m truly looking forward to partnering with you and seeing your child grow and thrive throughout the year.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. I’m here to support you and ensure a successful school year for every student. You can call or text me at 719-293-0106 or email me at ctalbot@lakecountyschools.net
Every Friday, I’ll be sending out our Friday Afternoon Shout Out—a weekly memo packed with important updates about LCIS, upcoming events, and celebrations or shout-outs from the past week.
Please take a few minutes to review this memo each week to stay informed and connected with all things LCIS. Thanks for staying engaged with us!
Orientation Conferences – Wednesday, August 6th
We’re excited to kick off the 2025–2026 school year with our Orientation Conferences on Wednesday, August 6th, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Please sign up for a time using this link.
We believe a child’s education is a true partnership between our staff and your family. Your participation in these conferences plays a key role in setting the tone for a successful school year. Thank you for taking the time to connect with us—we look forward to seeing you soon!
Our school day at LCIS will begin promptly at 8 AM with drop off beginning at 7:30. Breakfast in the classroom is offered from 7:45-8:00. Our school day ends at 3:30.
If you are planning to drop off or pick up your child, please review these procedures:
Morning Drop Off:
- Use one lane
- Pull forward
- Four cars can unload at the same time
- While waiting in line, please make sure students have their coats, backpacks, etc., ready to go so they can hop out quickly once it’s their turn.
- Please do not drop your students off from the parking lot section unless you get out and walk them to the school door.
Afternoon Pick Up:
- Use two lanes
- Pull forward to the first cone on the left (where Ms. Kortkamp usually stands).
- We will load four vehicles at a time, with one staff member stopping traffic to let students cross.
- Once the four vehicles are loaded and the stop sign is down, merge to one lane to drive out.
- The next four cars pull up and are loaded in the same way.
- You may park and walk over to the cones to pick up your student, making sure they only cross when the stop sign is up.
Go Panthers!
