LCHS Lockdown Drill 5/3/23
Dear LCHS Families,
This week, LCHS will be performing a lockdown drill. In order to have our students be better prepared, we will be conducting this drill during a passing period on Wednesday, May 3rd. We have chosen a passing period for 9th-12th grade students and will have 7th-8th students participate, but most should be in their classrooms.
We will be speaking with all students during a community meeting Today. Students will be given directions for the drill and options of what they might choose to do during a lock down if they might not be in a classroom when the Lock Down might be called. This will include getting into a classroom and/or self-evacuating. Students who self-evacuate will be met by a supervising adult at the exit and brought back into the building for a debrief. Normal drill procedures will be followed in the building. Please see the SRP (Standard Response Protocol) that we follow for our safety procedures. We will resume school as normal after the drill.
