News From LCHS 2/2/24
We had a great week here at LCHS! We continue to see many of our students engaged in sports and extra-curricular activities with many things to celebrate. A huge congratulations to our knowledge bowl team who not only won the first written round at their competition two weeks ago but also qualified for state. Our nordic team continues to be undefeated with many qualifying for state. Our alpine skiers have been working and training hard with members beginning to qualify for state! Basketball continues to represent LCHS with hard work and perseverance as they travel the state and compete. We are proud of what our students and coaches/leaders are accomplishing and how they represent LCHS. A huge shout out to Amy Peters (Athletic/Activities Director) who is working hard to make athletics and activities the best they can be for our students. We encourage students to begin thinking about participating in some sport or activity in their LCHS journey. We find that many students find deeper engagement while they are with us. Reach out to Amy Peters for more information.
As a reminder, teachers have weekly office hours for you to meet and discuss your student. These can be done in-person, virtually, or by phone. Here are the forms you can use to sign-up! English / Spanish.
Student Senate and teachers would like to celebrate student birthdays as a way of building community. Please fill out this form if you are willing to opt-in your child!
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend,

Even as the snow falls, we are making plans for spring sports. High school girls’ soccer and high school track & field will begin practices on Monday, February 26. We are trying to get a head count for those teams, so if your student is planning to participate, we would appreciate if you or your student would complete the appropriate form:
Spring sports are coming!! High School girls’ soccer and co-ed track & field start practicing on Monday, February 26. Participating in a sport has so many benefits physically, emotionally, and academically. Please encourage your student to join a team! We will be ordering new uniforms for soccer and warm-ups for track & field, so we are trying to get a head count of athletes and size requests. All high school students received an invitation in their school email with a google form link to fill out. Please ask your student if they have completed the form.
Please also make sure that your students’ physical is up to date, so they are ready for the beginning of the season.
LET’S GO PANTHERS!!
