News From LCHS 8/15/24
Dear LCHS Community,
What a fantastic week it has been back at Lake County High School! It has been wonderful to see the halls filled with both familiar and new faces. We are off to a great start and are optimistic about the year ahead.
Next week, we will be sharing our revised handbook for the 2024-2025 school year. This document will outline important policies, procedures, and expectations. Please look for it in our weekly communication and take some time to review it with your student(s).
As we settle into the school year, here are a few important reminders:
- Student Registration: We still have a few students who have not yet registered. Please ensure your child is registered as soon as possible! Crew teachers will be distributing forms to students on Monday, and you can also complete the registration online using this link. https://www.lakecountyschools.net/student-registration-information/
- Building Opening: The building will be open and available for student arrival at 7:30AM.
- Transportation: If you need to change your student’s bus transportation, please do so by 3:00PM so we can ensure the information reaches your student.
- Attendance: We are placing a strong emphasis on attendance this year. If your student will be absent or late, please call the front office to inform us. Accountability measures will be taken for unexcused absences and tardies.
- Schedule Changes: Today was the last day for students to request schedule changes. If something urgent arises, please contact the counseling department.
- Open Campus: As a reminder, students in grades 9-12 are allowed to leave campus for lunch. If you prefer your student to stay on campus, you can opt out by completing a form available in the front office.
We are committed to making this school year a success and appreciate your continued support. Together, we can ensure that Lake County High School is a place where every student thrives.
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend,
