News From LCHS 8/22/25
Dear LCHS Families,
This week felt different in a great way. Students were more engaged in their classes, and the energy in the building was focused and positive. The new systems and structures we have put in place are helping students stay on track and lean into their learning. It was great to see our students following through on expectations and our staff supporting them.
I am proud of how our students responded. When the routines are clear and consistent, they show us what they are capable of. Thank you for the support you provide at home, which plays a big role in how students show up each day.
We will keep building on this momentum in the weeks ahead, and I look forward to seeing more growth as the quarter continues.
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend,
Scott Carroll

Athletics
We hope you will join us for PANTHER STRONG, a community pep rally, TODAY at 3:45 pm at Community Park Field. We’re giving away FREE hot dogs and popcorn and raffling off some prizes! We’ll also recognize all of our fall sports teams, as they kick off their competition this weekend. Then we encourage you to stay and cheer on our high school soccer team as they face off against Mead HS.
We are looking for workers for our home athletic events. Depending on the event, we need gate workers, chain workers, clock workers, and people to work concessions. The worker positions are paid and can often be done while watching the event. The money made in concessions goes to our teams/clubs, so you can be part of raising funds for one of your child’s activities! If you are interested in signing up or getting more information, please email Alison Sprague at asprague@lakecountyschools.net.

LCSD Strategic Plan Survey
This fall, we are launching a community-driven strategic planning process to help guide our priorities and investments in the years ahead. We want to ensure every student is thriving—and that means listening to the ideas, hopes, and experiences of our families, staff, students, and community.
We want to hear from you. Please take a few minutes to share your perspective through our Strategic Plan Survey and help spread the word to other families and community members.
