2 Hour Delay Planned for Oct. 21st for all Lake County School Buildings
Dear LCSD Staff, Families and Community:
Due to a planned power outage for all of Lake County by Xcel Energy, all Lake County Schools and programs will begin two hours late on Tuesday, Oct. 21st. Students will be allowed into the buildings beginning at 9:30 am and school will begin at 10:00 am.
Students riding buses should be at their bus stops two hours after their normal pick-up times.
SPECIAL NOTE FOR PRESCHOOL:
Preschool Families:
2 Hour Delay Preschool Program Schedule: *all programming starts 2 hours past regular times
- AM Extended Hours: 9:30-11:00 (normal 7:30-9:00 drop off)
- AM Bus Transportation: 2 hours past normal scheduled time
- Preschool Delayed Hours: 11:00-3:00 (normal 9:00 am preschool drop off)
- Families that have a 12:45 daily pick up, may pick up at 3:00 during delayed start days. Please call the LCES main office 486-6890 to arrange this.
- PM Bus Transportation: No change to normal schedule.
- Afternoon operating hours remain the same until 5:00pm. Please follow your child’s regular schedule after 3:00pm.

We do our best in making the decisions on changes to school operations. We appreciate you understanding our choice in delaying school to provide Excel time to complete their work .
Buses and after school activities are scheduled to run as normal. We will contact you if there are any changes.
