News From LCHS 5/8/26
Dear LCHS Families,
As we move through May and into the final weeks of the school year, I want to thank you for your continued support of our students and staff. There is a lot happening across the building, and we are proud of the work our students continue to do both inside and outside of the classroom.
I also want to make families aware that we will be conducting a lockdown drill on Wednesday, May 13th. The purpose of the drill is to help students and staff practice what to do in the event of a serious emergency. Just like fire drills, lockdown drills are an important part of school safety planning and help ensure that everyone understands procedures, expectations, and how to respond calmly if a real situation were ever to occur.
Last call for ordering yearbooks! Students must have them ordered and paid for by 3:00PM next Thursday, May 14th.

Elevated Community Health
Mental Health Matters This May
May is Mental Health Awareness Month—a great time to check in on your student’s emotional well-being. Stress, anxiety, and end-of-year transitions can impact how students feel and perform. The School-Based Health Centers through Elevated Community Health are here to support students with a safe, supportive space and access to care right on campus.
Looking ahead to summer, select School-Based Health Centers will remain open, so students can continue receiving care even when school is out.

CMC
The CE team at CMC has been working hard to run another FAFSA/CASFA event to help remove barriers to access our Locals’ scholarships (many outside scholarships require this be completed as well). CMC is currently running a national survey to collect data on our CE student experience. Please complete the survey here: family survey
