News From LCHS 5/19/26
Dear LCHS Families,
As we sent off our state track athletes, it is a great reminder of how many meaningful opportunities our students have here at Lake County High School. These opportunities matter. They help students discover their strengths, build confidence, develop leadership, and see what is possible beyond our school.

Sports Report
We’re wrapping up our sports for the year. MS track & field ended their season on Wednesday at the Peaks League Championships. Top finishers were Nico Eubanks, 1st in the shot put, Zoe Peters, 2nd in the 1600m, and Owen King, 3rd in the discus.
19 athletes will represent Lake County at the track & field championships in Lakewood this weekend! Check next week’s Sports Report for the results!
All 6-12th grade athletes must have a sports physical every year. In partnership with St Vincent Hospital, LCHS will be offering a Physical Night on Tuesday, June 9 from 5:30-7:30 pm. Physicals are $25 per athlete and must be paid by cash or card. Get your student taken care of for next school year! Note: this will be the only physical night offered this year.
Spring training has begun, and current 8th graders are welcome to begin training with high school teams! HS Football is meeting from 4-6 pm Monday-Thursday in the weight room. HS boys’ basketball is holding open gyms on Monday and Wednesday nights from 6:30-8 pm in the HS gym, and HS volleyball is practicing on Fridays. Please let me know if you need help connecting with a coach.

Elevated Community Health
Mental Health Matters This May
May is Mental Health Awareness Month—a great time to check in on your student’s emotional well-being. Stress, anxiety, and end-of-year transitions can impact how students feel and perform. The School-Based Health Centers through Elevated Community Health are here to support students with a safe, supportive space and access to care right on campus.
Looking ahead to summer, select School-Based Health Centers will remain open, so students can continue receiving care even when school is out.
