Parent Coffee Chat: Monday, September 14th
We hope you will join us for our first Parent Coffee Chat on Monday, September 14th from 10:30-11:30 AM. We will begin in the cafeteria!
This is an opportunity to hear more about our schoolwide priorities, ask questions, visit classrooms, and see LCHS in action during a regular school day. We want families to have opportunities throughout the year to experience the work happening inside our classrooms and better understand where we are headed as a school.

Lockdown Drill: Thursday, September 10th
As part of our continued commitment to student and staff safety, LCHS will conduct our first lockdown drill of the school year on Thursday, September 10th.
Our school uses the Standard Response Protocol from the “I Love U Guys” Foundation, which provides schools with clear, consistent language and procedures for responding to different types of emergencies. The framework includes five actions: Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, and Shelter. During a lockdown, students and staff practice the specific procedures they would follow if there were a threat inside the school.
We recognize that lockdown drills can bring up a variety of emotions for students and families. At the same time, practicing these procedures is an important part of being prepared. Our goal is not to create fear, but to make sure students and staff understand what to do, can respond calmly, and are familiar with our safety procedures before we ever need them in a real situation.
Thank you for continuing to partner with us as we work to make LCHS a safe, welcoming, and academically strong school for every student. We have a lot to be proud of in these first few weeks, and we are excited to keep building on this strong start.
