News From LCHS 4/3/26
Dear LCHS Families,
It is hard to believe that we are entering the final stretch of the 25-26 school year. April always brings a shift in energy across the building. There is a sense of momentum as students and staff continue to build on the work they have done all year.
As we enter this final stretch, we are looking forward to the many events, milestones, and celebrations that make this time of year special. From performances and activities to testing and end-of-year transitions, this is a meaningful time for our students to show their growth, finish strong, and take pride in what they have accomplished.
As a reminder, State Testing begins next week. This is an important time for our students and school. Please take a moment to review the testing schedule below. We appreciate your partnership in making sure your student has a charged chromebook, is well-rested, and arrives on time each day.
We appreciate the role our families play in supporting our students each day. That support helps move our school forward and we are excited to carry that into a strong finish to the year.
We appreciate the partnership we have with our families and look forward to finishing the year together in a strong and positive way.
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend,
Scott Carroll

Sports Report
The Lake County pole vault men have 4 of the top 6 spots in the 2A state rankings! Those positions are currently held by Devyn Sterkel, Josh Sweet, Ephraim Bunch and Adam Trujillo. Nathanael Granillo is ranked in the top 10 in the 2A state classification in both hurdle races! Several other Panther track & field athletes have turned in excellent performances and are in state-qualifying position.
Both MS and HS Knowledge Bowl came out of their recent meets victorious!
Although HS girls’ soccer didn’t win their last 2 games, they played much better than when they faced these teams last year. This year they held their opponents to 5 goals each, when last year they scored 8 goals on us.
HS girls’ soccer has 2 home games next week- Tuesday at 4:30 pm and Saturday at 1 pm. Come out and support our Lady Panthers!
GO PANTHERS!!!!

To ensure less disruptions to the school day and better testing attendance, we are holding regular school during testing days. When students are not testing, they will be attending their classes.
All tests are on the computer this year. Please remind your student to bring their chromebook and charger each day.
We will do a digital readiness check with students on Monday, March 30th during CREW. 11th grade students will have an opportunity to complete additional information with the College Board regarding scholarship information and sending their results to colleges. 11th grade students will need the attached form to be signed and returned by Thursday to complete the optional portion.
We appreciate your help in ensuring students are at school and well-rested on assessment days.
If you have any questions, please contact the front office to set up a meeting with Kerry Charles, the testing coordinator for the high school.
Thank you for the opportunity to work with your student!
