News From LCHS 4/10/26
Dear LCHS Families,
As we move further into April, we are entering the final stretch of the school year. This is always a busy and meaningful time, with a lot to balance and a lot to celebrate.
This week, our 7th, 8th, and 11th grade students completed CMAS testing. I want to recognize the effort and focus our students showed throughout the week.
Next week, we continue our spring testing with the PSAT and SAT. Thank you in advance for helping your student arrive on time, well-rested, and ready to do their best.
We also want to acknowledge that there has been some confusion around the start time for graduation. To clarify, doors will open for seating at 10:00AM, and the ceremony will begin at 10:30AM on Saturday, June 13th. We are looking forward to celebrating our seniors and this important milestone together as a school community.
As we head into these final weeks, there are many opportunities ahead for students to finish strong, take part in events, and celebrate milestones. This is also a time of transition, whether students are moving to the next grade level or preparing for life after high school.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We are looking forward to a strong finish to the year.
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend,
Scott Carroll

Hattie Mallozzi finished 3rd in her first ever 3200m. Nathanael Granillo ran a personal best in the 110m hurdles to place 5th.
For families interested in the high school mountain bike team, current 8th-12th graders, ***Mark your calendars!!*** We will be having an informational meeting on Thursday, April 23rd at 6:30 at 316 Harrison, The Leadville Race Series Retail Store. This meeting is for everyone: returning athletes, athletes who already know they want to join the team, and anyone who is interested in learning more about the team. We would love for the athlete and at least one parent to join us at this meeting. We will discuss registration (which is not quite open yet), cost, schedule, communication, dual sport athlete plans, volunteer requirements, scholarships and more. You will also have the chance to meet the coaches, Tamira Jenlink and Jeff Spencer, if you haven’t done so already, and get all of your questions answered.
Let’s GO PANTHERS!!
