It was great to connect with so many of you during conferences this week. These moments remind us how important it is to work together to support every student’s growth. We would like to give a huge shout out to our District Accountability Committee and volunteers for providing food for our staff the first night of conferences.

Sports Report
The mountain bike team competed in their last regular season race on Sunday. Hattie Mallozzi finished 3rd in the sophomore girls division (the day after her strong XC performance). Finnley Stanek and Emily Charles were 11th and 13th in the varsity girls division, and Wilson Anderson took 14th in the varsity boys’ race.
Despite rain and the field lights going off at the end of the first half, HS soccer beat league opponent Grand Valley 4-1 on Tuesday. JV also won 2-1. On Thursday, the team traveled to Moffat County and lost a hard fought game 3-2.
MS boys’ basketball practice begins on Monday! Practice will be at the intermediate school gym from 4:15-5:45 pm.
Our final HS home volleyball game is next Wednesday against Vail Mountain. C team begins at 4:30 pm. We’ll be honoring seniors from volleyball, cheer, golf, XC and mountain biking just before the varsity game, about 6:30 pm.
MS girls’ basketball season is January and February, so that sign up will be coming in December!

We want to send a huge thank you to every family member who contributed delicious food and drink to our annual District Accountability Committee potluck during conferences! The spreads were simply incredible and teachers and staff were very appreciative. We are so grateful!
Student use of Communication Devices Reminder
LCHS believes the use of student communication devices (a device that is capable of making and receiving calls, sending and receiving text messages, or accessing the internet), including cell phones, air pods, and smart watches, is not supportive of the learning environment.
If your HS student does not put these items in their pouch and a staff member sees it, the item will be confiscated and placed in the office. HS students are allowed to remove these items from their pouch at lunchtime and replace them upon returning to class.
If your JH student does not put these items in the box and a staff member sees it, the item will be confiscated and placed in the office.
Below is the escalation pathway if your student violates the policy:
- 1st – Confiscated and stays in office for the remainder of the day. The Guardian is notified.
- 2nd – Confiscated and guardian pick it up.
- 3rd and on – Confiscated and guardian pick it up. After School Detention assigned
