LCIS SNSO 11/1/20
Hello LCIS Families,
Thank you so much for attending our virtual conferences last week. Although we know there were some technological challenges, we are so glad that you persevered and were able to connect with your child’s teacher. If you were unable to attend your conference, please reach out to your child’s teacher to make arrangements for a virtual meeting.
It was so fun to celebrate Halloween with our students! We are so thankful for this brief interlude of normalcy. The students were excited to listen to spooky stories and Halloween music! Thank you to all of our specials and explore teachers for planning this fun time. We appreciate you!
LCSD has released a listening tour regarding covid and our schools so that we can understand what changes to our current practices we might consider for semester two. We would love your feedback. If you wear a hat as a parent and a staff, please feel free to complete the survey from both perspectives.

The survey is made of several open-ended questions so it may take a bit more time to complete.
Your feedback is very important to us; thank you for taking the time to fill it out. The survey will remain open until November 4th.
As we continue to follow the COVID 19 guidelines, we have decided to cancel this year’s Thanksgiving Lunch with families. Although we are sad, we will look forward to scheduling this event next year.
Ms. Cates read “Tell Me a Scary Story,…But No TOO Scary” to the 4th graders during lunch this week. In this book, writer/director Carl Reiner invites readers to huddle close as he tells a young boy’s tale of the mysterious house next door.
Sixth grade girls who are interested in playing basketball this year are invited to attend open gyms at LCIS on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7 p.m. Please contact coach Steph Koucherik at skoucherik@lakecountyschools.net if you have any questions.
