LCES Families,
We had a fantastic last week of school! Congratulations to all of our students for a successful and fun school year. Our students showed perseverance and grew in so many ways, both academically and as little humans.
Thank you parents and guardians for the support this year. We truly appreciate your collaboration in supporting your child’s education and we encourage you to continue reading every day during the summer. Check out the public library for a fun reading challenge and also a great spot to borrow free books!
This summer, look for your child’s registration packet in the mail mid-July. Please take a moment to review the important paperwork and formally register your student on our PowerSchool system.
We will be back for another incredible school year, starting with family orientation conferences on August 6 from 10:00-6:00pm. Mark your calendars and see you then!
For now, have a safe and relaxing summer break. You and your family deserve it!

Classroom and Curriculum Updates: Our curriculum is wrapping up for the school year! What a fun year we’ve had learning about everything from ourselves, families, animals, plants and habitats and much much more! If your child is transitioning to kindergarten we encourage you to use your Kinder Transition Bag to have fun and keep learning with the prepared activities. Sign up for the Summer Reading Program at the library! Let’s see if ALL of our preschoolers can participate! Happy Summer!

Hello Lake County Families Have you ever dreamed of having a movie theater in Leadville? The Tabor Opera House has too. With support from our visitor center, The Tabor Opera House is piloting a film series this coming October and we need your help! We invite youth, kids and their families to nominate your favorite family friendly films that you’d like to watch at the Tabor this coming October. The movies with the most nominations will be put on a ballot for the community to vote on. Each student is encouraged to nominate between 1-3 films.Need inspo?
