LCIS FASO 5-6-22
Hello LCIS Families!
Thank you so much for attending our Celebration of Learning this past Wednesday! Our students were so excited and proud of their work and sharing it with you. EL Education says, “Celebrations of learning are more than a display of student work and more than a party at the end of the year. The events compel students to reflect on and articulate what they have learned, how they learned, questions they answered, research they conducted, and areas of strength and struggles. They are powerful opportunities to make learning public.” Your joining in this celebration allows our students to share their learning with an authentic audience which helps motivate them and creates a purpose for them to care about the quality of their work. Thank you for being a part of our students’ educational journey and supporting their growth along the way!

5th grade had a very exciting week this week! We had a guest speaker in Crew. She was the Emergency Response Coordinator from Lake County. She talked to us about what we can do to prepare for a disaster in our area. This was perfect for wrapping up our first unit in our Natural Disasters Module. In Math, students started their final module all about the coordinate plane! We also celebrated our Athletes of Social Change Module by going to the Colorado Rockies game on Thursday! The students had a great time!
