LCES Weekly Update 11/28/22
LCES Families,
Welcome back! We hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving break. We are super excited for the events we have planned over the next three weeks for students and families to take part in.
December Family Fun Night!
Join us on Thursday night for our PK-2 Family Fun night!
Outside Ready:
Thanks for sending your student with gear to go outside everyday. If the temperature is above 10 degrees (windchill above 0), we do go outside. Students love this time outside and do great when they have the gear they need to go out. Thanks for also putting your students name on their gear so we can get it back to the right person if it is misplaced.
Kindergarten Field Work Trip:
Kindergarten students will be taking part in their C4 trip this week. Please be sure to send your students with outside gear on the day they are going. Reach out to the front office if you have any questions or would like to volunteer to go with your student’s crew.
Tuesday, November 29: Lenhard’s Crew
Wednesday, November 30: Bridge’s Crew
Thursday, December 1: Compean’s Crew.
Parent Engagement Team:
Would you like to be part of our parent engagement team? Come January 5th from 6-7 in the library here at school to learn more about what this team will look like and to start planning parent engagement opportunities for K-2 families. Thanks so much for your willingness to be a part of this team.
Attendance Challenge:
We are having another attendance challenge for the months of November and December. If your child is not too ill to attend school, please make it a priority to bring them to school every day. Missing too many days can cause your child to fall behind in school and can have lifelong learning impacts. The crew from each grade level that has the best attendance percentage will get to watch a movie and have a popcorn party in the cafeteria on December 8th. Thank you for your collaboration and support surrounding your child’s attendance.
Please reach out at any time if you have any questions or concerns. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
