News from LCHS
In a continued effort to focus on safety for our students, LCHS will be conducting a lockdown drill next week.
Watch your email –Every three years the LSCD calendar committee, comprised of parents, teachers, and administration, with the help of the student senate, gather data about the current school-year calendar and explore alternatives in order to develop a school-year calendar for the next three years. The current calendar committee will be sending out a parent survey to gather your input about what families like/dislike about our current school-year calendar. Watch your email for this survey early next week. Please respond promptly to help the calendar committee gather input for creating the next three-year school calendar.
If you ordered Panther gear, your order will be available for pick up on Monday, December 10, 2018 in the High School Cafeteria after school is released (3:35 p.m.).
Panther of the Week: Patricia Galaviz Hernandez Patty has been and continues to be an outstanding role model and quiet leader at Lake County School. She has consistently been a three-sport athlete all her years at LCHS. Patty currently holds a GPA of 4.28 and is ranked 2nd in her class. She continues to be a strong, positive role-model for her peers and younger students being involved in several student and community organizations. Patty currently holds the office of Social Media Director with Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and has shown great leadership throughout her high school years.
Please remember to nominate students for the great work and character they show in our community. Please use this link to nominate. A group of alumni, parents and students vote each week on the Panther of the Week.
Family Survey in your Email – Please help us improve!
Our schools value input from families and we need to hear from you! In order to learn more about family experiences in our schools, we will once again this year be asking for your feedback via an online survey that you should have received by email. The subject line of the email will be “Request for Feedback – Family Survey.”
All survey responses are confidential. No one at our schools will see how you respond to the questions. A separate organization, Panorama Education, will manage all data collection to ensure confidentiality. The survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete, and will be an invaluable source of information for us as we work to make our schools as excellent as they can be.
Another reason to participate: As we did last year, we will be drawing a name from the list of family members who complete the survey, and that person will win $200 worth of groceries at Safeway! Please don’t hesitate to contact Panorama directly at support@panoramaed.com if you have any questions about the survey administration. We thank you in advance for your thoughtful responses!
Get your Driver’s Education over the upcoming holiday break. See attached flyer.
