News From LCHS 10/28/22
Dear LCHS Parents/Guardians,
Winter is here! The mountains are white, and there is frost on the pumpkins! Happy Halloween weekend to all! Conferences have been great. This week has been spent communicating with families and game planning the rest of the school year.
Monday is Halloween and we have a few tips for making it a fun and safe school day.
- No masks or fake blood.
- No hard plastic toy or facsimile guns/ weapons (swords, play knives, etc.) are allowed.
- No costumes that are overly graphic, and/or promote violence, alcohol, or drugs or otherwise might logically be assumed to be offensive to others are not acceptable.
- Costumes that violate the school’s dress code are not appropriate.
Thanks,
Brian Nelson

Athletics:
Upcoming home athletic events:
MS basketball- Monday, October 31, 7th/8th grade at LCHS, 6th grade at LCIS at 4:00 pm*
MS basketball- Thursday, November 3, 7th/8th grade at LCHS, 6th grade at LCIS at 4:15 pm*
We will be charging a gate fee at these games: $3/adult, $1/senior. Lake County students get in for free.
(*If your 6-8th grade student wants to attend these games as a spectator, you must attend with them or call to put them on the Event Attendee List- see details below)
If your student (6th-8th grade) wants to attend a basketball event, you must either attend the event with them, or you must call Alison Sprague at 719-486-6954 to get them on the Event Attendee List. Students whose names are not on the Event Attendee List will be turned away at the door and will need to find a way home. RSVP’s must be called in to Alison before 2:30 pm the day of the event, or by 2:30 pm on Thursday if the event is on Friday or Saturday. We do ask that you call to add your student EACH TIME you want them to attend a sporting event at LCIS. Parents, thank you for your help on this. We are trying to encourage students to be positively engaged at these events, and we appreciate your partnership in that effort.
Middle school boys’ basketball pictures will be taken on Tuesday, Nov 1 at 4:30 pm in the LCHS gym. For order forms please click here.
Attention Panther fans! We are selling Frontier League passes for $60/person. This pass will get you into all games against Frontier League opponents, whether home or away, for the rest of the school year. Your price will be reduced by $20 if you have already purchased a Lake County annual pass. If interested, please contact Alison Sprague at 719-486-6954 or stop by the high school office.
