News From LCHS 12/09/22
Good morning, Lake County Panthers,
Another good week at LCHS is done, and we are one week away from Christmas Break! Next week we have final exams. Please make sure your student has all of their work turned in, and has spent some time preparing for their finals. Our bell schedule will be a bit different this week, so please see below.

Athletics:
In response to an interest in boys’ volleyball, our girls’ volleyball coaches, Sean Sprague and Padraic Smith, are offering open gyms as a trial run for the program. Any interested high school boys are strongly encouraged to attend, beginning on Sunday, December 11 from 5-8 pm.
Lake County High School, in partnership with Project Dream, will be offering a trial season of Esports this spring! Esports is a growing CHSAA co-ed activity that takes video gaming to another level with organized competitive gameplay between 2 high schools. It demands critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and creativity in order for students to succeed. Practice/competition will be after school from 4-6 pm, probably on Mondays and Wednesdays. No travel involved. Interested students should sign up in the library with Project Dream.
(If your 6-8th grade student wants to attend these games as a spectator, you must attend with them or call to put them on the Event Attendee List- see details below)
If your student (6th-8th grade) wants to attend a basketball event, you must either attend the event with them, or you must call Alison Sprague at 719-486-6954 to get them on the Event Attendee List. Students whose names are not on the Event Attendee List will be turned away at the door and will need to find a way home. RSVP’s must be called in to Alison before 2:30 pm the day of the event, or by 2:30 pm on Thursday if the event is on Friday or Saturday. We do ask that you call to add your student EACH TIME you want them to attend a sporting event at LCIS.
Any 3-5th grade students who wish to attend basketball games must be accompanied by an adult.
