Dear Cloud City High School Families,
What a week of wild weather! As always, living in Leadville means we can experience all four seasons in a single day. Students, please plan accordingly to ensure you arrive to your scheduled classes on time, regardless of the forecast.
Attendance Reminders:
Parents and guardians, we appreciate your help in keeping us informed if your child will be absent for any reason. This week, we have not heard from several families, which has resulted in automated attendance calls being sent out. If your child is telling you they are “finished” with school or no longer need to attend, please reach out to their crew teacher or the school office. We want to make sure all families have accurate and up-to-date information.
Celebrating Growth:
We are excited to share that many students have shown tremendous progress on their NWEA testing! Today, students received cash rewards for their growth and achievements. We love recognizing and celebrating their hard work and success.
Workforce Boot Camp Career Tour:
Today, students participated in a career exploration trip to Glenwood Springs as part of our Workforce Boot Camp. They had a great time learning about job opportunities at the Glenwood Springs Adventure Park—and enjoyed some of the fun activities offered there as well!
Looking Ahead:
There are just four weeks of academic classes left before graduate portfolio defenses begin. Let’s make the most of this time and finish the year strong! Last two weeks of school will be our J-Term which lends itself to getting students out more to explore and learn about all the potential opportunities they may enter post high school. The schedule for these weeks will be sent out in a few weeks.
