News From LCHS 11/05/21
Dear LCHS Parents & Guardians,
It was an exciting week at the high school for our sports programs. Our HS girl’s cross-country team brought home the state championship! Huge congratulations to Coach Amy Peters and our runners. They are a true testament to hard work and dedication paying off! The HS boys’ soccer team went to the qualifying round for state. Their season ended in a hard-fought overtime loss (5-4). The HS girls’ volleyball team plays in their regional tournament this morning. Good luck to them and go Panthers!
On a different note, we really appreciate the feedback you gave us during conferences. We got over 150 parent responses to the survey. We will be looking at the feedback as a staff team. In the feedback, it was clear that the best time for families to attend Coffee Talk is in the evenings. Our next Coffee Talk will be on Thursday, November 18th at 7:30pm. We hope to see you there!
Lastly, starting next week, we will be talking with students about taking the Health Kids Colorado Survey. This survey gives us important information about the choices students are making in and out of school, as well as how they feel about our school community. We (and other community partners) use the information to determine how to best support our young people, including the programs we offer. Our students will be taking the survey the week of November 15th during crew time. It is optional, and you may submit an opt out form if you would prefer your child(ren) not participate. More information about the survey is attached. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
Happy start to November. There is a lot to be thankful for. We are thankful for you and your family.
Best,
Erin Dillon
LCHS Interim Principal
