LCHS update for the last two weeks of school

Dear LCHS Families,
I am writing today to inform you of a change in school leadership at LCHS for the next two weeks. Mr. Nelson will no longer be serving as our principal for LCHS or returning next school year. He has also shared with us that he will be out of Lake County over the next two weeks. We will be working on next steps for the high school leadership and will be communicating that to staff and families.
We are committed to providing a safe and engaging learning environment for all students and staff, as such, you may see additional law enforcement presence throughout the next two weeks. Please note that this is often the case during the last weeks of school and when students and staff are out of the schools on excursions.
District and school leadership are committed to providing a safe and engaging learning environment. In the interim, Scott Carroll will be the contact person at the high school and interim principal for the rest of the school year for 7th-12th grades.
We are excited to give our students opportunities to participate in fun and engaging activities to close out the year. There will be a combination of classroom instruction, activities and activities throughout the community with various partners. We want to support the efforts of the building in giving an exciting and engaging conclusion to this school year for our students that our staff has worked hard to plan.
