The Center Weekly Updates 9/23/22

Hello Center Families,

What a great week showing our school spirit! It was exciting to see everyone dress up each day. Here are a few photos from the program.  

Thanks to the LCHS students, who came to the Preschool side to do a mini prep rally with our students.

Students in Room 137, are recreating numbers out of playdough with Ms. Shelby!

This is a great activity you can do at home with your child. Here is a recipe

1.5 cups flour

½ cup salt

2tbs cream of tartar

1 tbsp. oil

Food coloring

1 cup hot water

Mix all dry ingredients that then add water, oil, and food coloring.

Dear LCSD Parents & Guardians:

We are very excited to have begun another great school year in Lake County! Here at LCSD our most important job is to keep your children safe. In our School Safety section on our website, we have important information about the tools and strategies we use to promote safe schools. This information is only to keep you informed, not to cause concern. We want you “Prepared, not scared”.

In addition to the steps we take to make our schools safe and secure, we also work hard to make sure our schools are welcoming to all students, families and community members. One of our commitments is that bullying has no place in our schools. In this Safety Section I have included a brochure documenting our bullying prevention program. This document outlines how we define bullying, and how we respond to a report of bullying behavior in one of our schools. Another commitment is to Title IX and Nondiscrimination. It is important that not only staff, but students as well understand their rights in these areas.
