LCSD Follow Up & Feedback Opportunity 9.17.24

Dear LCSD Families:

I hope you have found some time in the past few days to enjoy our beautiful fall weather and take a break from some difficult events both in and out of our community. It was wonderful to see students and staff back in school yesterday! Buildings were calm and learning was happening. Many thanks to our law enforcement partners for their support and presence.

While the events of last week are still fresh in our minds, I want to invite you to submit questions and feedback about our school district response. Click here for a simple form where you can share your thoughts with us. We greatly appreciate your input, questions and reflections. Staff will also have a chance to give feedback.

We will respond to the input we get in one of three ways:

1. We will reach out to you individually;
2. We will create a summary of answers to the most common questions we receive; and / or
3. We will address our approach to safety in the district in two upcoming initiatives. The first will be the annual mailing of our safety practices, which you will receive later this month, and will likely answer some of your questions. And the second is at our State of the Schools event on September 30. (See invite below.) Safety is not the only topic at this event, but we will address it. Please join us!
