Lake County Veterans Visit LCIS
Many local veterans visited Lake County Intermediate School on Friday, November 11th, Veteran’s Day.
Some of the visiting Veterans from left to right: Donna Axel, Ray Axel, Keith Stegall, Marylee Mosgovoy, Dave Dunn, Glenda Dunn, Terry Ploot, Kari Ploot, Mickey Stegall
We were so honored that they joined our students and staff for our Monthly Community Meeting day and allowed us to acknowledge their service to our country. The fourth grade student hosts talked about the Pledge of Allegiance and what the words really meant – a promise of loyalty. The fourth graders also taught the student body how to properly salute so that we could all salute our Veterans. The sixth graders recited the Pre-Amble to the constitution from memory so that we could all remember why America is great.
The Veterans join LCIS students in a “movement break” during the
Community Meeting on November 11th.
Thank you, Veterans, for serving our country and for coming to LCIS!
