It’s been a busy and exciting week here at Cloud City High School!
Workforce Boot Camp Career Tours
Today, our students participated in another round of our monthly Workforce Boot Camp Career Tours. One group visited Climax Mine to explore a variety of career opportunities in the mining industry. A second group toured career paths in wellness and personal services—visiting a spa, barber shop, beauty salon, and tattoo artist. These experiences are an integral part of our students’ learning journey at CCHS, helping them explore real-world career pathways.

State Testing Next Week!
Please take note of the following important dates:
- Monday, April 14th:
11th grade students will take the CMAS test.
Students must arrive by 8:25 AM
Bring your fully charged Chromebook from home - Thursday, April 17th:
Students in grades 9, 10, and 11 will take the PSAT and/or SAT.
Students must arrive by 8:25 AM
Bring your fully charged Chromebook
These students will be dismissed at lunchtime
12th grade students DO NOT need to attend school on this day

Senior Graduation Check-In
The second graduation check for seniors will take place on April 24th. Crew teachers will be reaching out to parents/guardians with updates on your student’s progress and graduation status.

Fall Enrollment for Alternative Education
Do you know a student who might benefit from attending an Alternative Education Campus?
The application deadline for Fall enrollment is April 17th. Reach out to us if you have questions or want to learn more.

The application process for new students who wish to enroll at CCHS for the fall semester 2025-2026 will be open and available beginning on Tuesday, March 25th. The application process will close on April 17, 2025. Please share this with any high school students who may wish to enroll at CCHS.

From the School Nurse: Colleen Nielsen, RN
Colorado has had its first reported Measles case this week. Measles is more than just a rash. It is a serious respiratory illness that can cause lifelong problems like hearing loss, brain damage, and even death. Measles is preventable with a vaccine. Please reach out to your provider to check on your student’s vaccination status. If measles was to be found in our student population, your student will be excluded if not fully vaccinated.
