News From LCHS 2/4/2022
Dear LCHS Parents & Caregivers,
Thank-you for another great week. We have seen a rapid decline in the number of COVID cases in our school. As a result, we will start to return to some of our normal routines, like in person community meetings, while continuing many of our baseline safety measures, like mask wearing.
On a different note, the principal candidate interviews have been moved to Saturday, February 12 from 8am to 1pm at LCHS. Our current candidates can make it “in person” on this day, and we want to give you the opportunity to interact with them face to face. We are still working out the logistics. More details will be coming soon. Please save the date!
Finally, conferences are quickly approaching. They are the first week of March on Wednesday the 2nd and Thursday the 3rd. Please be on the lookout for the link to schedule a conference with your child’s crew leader!
Have a great weekend.
Best,
Erin Dillon
LCHS Interim Principal
Save the Date – Principal Interviews: We are continuing our search for the next principal at LCHS. If you’d like to be a part of the process that day, please save the date!

Substitutes Needed (see attached flyer): Want to invest in our school community and give back? One of our biggest needs is subbing. We are in need of substitutes district wide, but especially at the high school level. Please see the attached flyer for more information.
Project Dream Announcement: Over the course of the semester, Project Dream will be conducting fire and lockdown drills during after school programs. Reference the schedule below to know the days drills will be taking place. All drills will run at 4:30pm. On these days, please wait until at least 5:00pm to pick up your students from after school programs so that they may fully participate in the drills.
- February 10th: Fire Drill at LCES
- February 17th: Lockdown Drill District-Wide
- February 22nd: Fire Drill at LCHS
- February 23rd: Fire Drill at LCIS
6th-8th Grade Games at LCIS:
We have decided to make some changes with attendance at our 6-8 games at LCIS. Given the age of our students we are going to require that all students attending the game are with an adult. If students arrive without an adult they will not be allowed to attend the games at LCIS. We are making this change to ensure more supervision and that everyone is being safe and respectful at all times.
