Attendance, Attendance, Attendance!
Regular attendance is one of the most important factors in your child’s success at school. To stay on track for graduation, students must attend their scheduled classes consistently. If your child is too sick to attend, please call the office to excuse the absence.
We are only three weeks into the school year, yet some students are attending as little as 20%, 35%, 50%, or 65% of the time. In contrast, students maintaining 85% attendance or higher are already setting themselves up for success—thank you for making this a priority at home! Strong attendance leads to stronger learning and better academic progress.
Personal Devices & Cell Phone Policy
Our personal device policy is working well for most students. As a reminder:
- The third violation will result in the phone being held in the office.
- A parent/guardian will need to come in to pick it up.
Please note: students can always email from their Chromebooks, and the office is available for emergency phone calls.
Stay Connected Through PowerHub
PowerHub is the best way to monitor your student’s attendance, grades, and communication with teachers. If you are not yet connected, please stop by or call our office—we are happy to help get you set up.

No School Reminder
There will be no school on Monday, September 1 in observance of the holiday. Classes will resume on Tuesday, September 2. We hope you enjoy the four-day weekend with your family.

The District Accountability Committee (DAC) needs you!
The DAC is a group of parents, staff and community members that advises the district on critical topics and works on family engagement.
- One, 2-hour meeting once a month (no meetings in December, June or July)
- Virtual option available!

- A fun and interesting group of people to hang out with!

Calendar Survey #1
Lake County School District has put together a committee of staff, parents, and community members to discuss the calendar for the 2026-2027 school year. The goal of this committee is to recommend a calendar that best meets the needs of our students, staff, parents, and community to the LCSD school board.
