Thank You for Attending Parent-Teacher Conferences!
It was great to see so many of our families in the building over the past two days for Parent-Teacher Conferences. Parents and guardians — you should now have a clear picture of where your student stands in terms of graduation progress, what steps remain, and their current attendance status. Let’s work together to make the last eight weeks of the semester count.
Have You Shared Your Calendar Feedback?
If you did not get a chance to provide feedback on the two proposed school calendars during conferences, there is still time! Please complete the District Calendar Survey by noon on October 20th. Every voice matters, and we want to hear from you. https://forms.gle/vLYi4YpwLJ1cHjc57
Student Highlights from Last Week
We had some exciting events and student experiences recently:A group of students participated in an overnight camping and caving trip, made possible by a generous grant from the Leadville Trail 100 Legacy Foundation. Thank you for helping us fund this incredible opportunity!

Students joined in Homecoming festivities, decorating the Expedition for the CCHS float and proudly walking in the parade down Harrison Ave. The Homecoming Dance was a success, and we loved seeing so many students attend and enjoy the evening.

Healthy Kids Colorado Survey
This fall our students will take the Healthy Kids Colorado Survey (HKCS), an important survey about student health. The survey asks students about health topics including unintentional injuries and violence; mental health; school safety; substance use; physical activity and nutrition; sexual behavior (optional); and risk and protective factors. The survey process protects your student’s privacy, and no information is collected that can identify an individual student. Only your child will know how they answer.
The survey results will help your school, community groups, and state health agencies to plan programs and services for youth. Students receive the survey during class time and are instructed to answer the questions or skip any question they don’t understand or don’t feel comfortable answering.
If you prefer that your student does not take the survey, please complete the attached opt-out form and return to the school’s front office by Tuesday, October 28th. Opt-out forms will also be available in the school’s front office to sign.
