Hello Families,
Thank you to all our families who attended our annual Thanksgiving lunch. We served a total of 580 meals on Tuesday! I want to take a moment to thank all our amazing kitchen staff for all the hard work and dedication they put into fixing this lunch and all the other meals served throughout the school year.
Fall Break:
We hope you all enjoy fall break from November 20-24. We wish you and your family a great Thanksgiving and are looking forward to seeing students back on Monday, November 27th.
Principal Coffee Chat:
Please join us on November 28th from either 9-10am or 6-7pm for our monthly coffee chat with the principal. This month, we would like to hear from families on communication and how we can better support families with communication. We will also have a question and answer time for any questions about the school that you would like answered. Thanks for joining us for this conversation.
Please reach out at any time if you have questions, concerns, or celebrations you would like to share.
Thanks,
Katie Pongrekun
Principal, LCES

Staff of the Week Highlight! |
Each week this year in family communication, we will be highlighting a staff member in the building. If you want, please feel free to send emails, handwritten notes, or letters of encouragement to that staff member.
Lizz Holm- PK Health Manager and Instruction
Lizz grew up in Enumclaw, Washington and she’s worked at the Center for the past 15 years. She graduated last May with her MA in Early Childhood Education. Lizz loves to snowboard, read, bake, hike, and cross things off her to-do list. She loves to travel and wants to see “EVERYTHING! All the states, countries, national parks, oceans, etc. etc. etc.” Lizz’s family motto is “If you’re going to do something, do it right! This applies to every situation.” Her youngest daughter and her best friend truly keep her going every single day because they have both overcome so many obstacles and they never give up. Thank you so much for all you do each and every day, Lizz!
Send Ms. Lizz an encouraging note at lholm@lakecountyschools.net

- Please remember to have your child to the building by 7:45 if you would like them to have breakfast in the morning. Thanks so much for helping with this.
- Looking for donations of size 6-8 pants/sweatpants for students who may need a change of clothes during the day.
- Please remember to send your child ready to go outside on a daily basis in the snow. Also, it is very helpful and important to have your child’s name on their snow clothes, gloves, hat, boots, etc. so that if they are misplaced or put in the lost and found we are able to get it back to them.
Preschool Specifics |

Reminders:
- With current staffing issues, there is a chance that your child’s class will be split into other rooms and closed on any given day. This may occur after your child has already been dropped off.
- Reminder school doors open at 9:00 am each day, we ask that you wait until you schedule hours listed on your signed tuition agreement. Any time that is outside these hours are billable to you.
